Brighton Census

Scouting is alive and well and increasing in the Brighton District. Our census return which is now completed and approved shows an increase of 49 (6%) in membership and is the third year running that we have shown an increase in numbers.
What is particularly pleasing is the increases in numbers at the so called smaller groups
To summarise we have 1 group in the small category with 25 members
7 groups in the medium category with between 40 and 60 members
3 groups in the large category with over 70 members
1 group in the very large category with over 100 members
Our Explorer Scout section is also flourishing with over 50 members and we have a fledgling Network section of 3 with a distinct possibility of a further 4 in the very near future.
Our total membership is almost 800.
